ROAD INFORMATION
September 18 - 26, 2025
Swift Blvd. and Wright Ave. - Intersection will be closed starting Tuesday, September 16th through Friday, September 19th, 2025. Please use the detour route posted. Pedestrian access will remain open.
SR.240 and Hagen Rd. - Nighttime work is continuing on paving operations. There may be nighttime delay or detours in place for this work. Drivers should use extra caution when traveling through nighttime work zones. Project questions or concerns should be directed to WSDOT.
Gage Blvd. & Leslie Road –A contractor will have the southbound right turn lane on Leslie Road and the adjacent sidewalks closed on Friday, September 19th and Monday September 22nd . The crosswalk will also be affected. A pedestrian detour will be in place.
Roadway Construction on Dallas Rd. between Ava Way and Trowbridge Blvd. – Starting in mid-April, work will begin along Dallas Rd. between Ava Way and Trowbridge Blvd. This work is for a developer-driven project to construct roundabouts at the intersections of Dallas Rd. with Trowbridge Blvd. and Ava Way, as well as widening along Dallas Rd. between the two intersections. This is an ongoing project with an expected completion date in Spring 2026.
Starting on Monday, August 11, 2025, Trowbridge Blvd. will be closed at the intersection of Dallas Road in support of ongoing construction activities related to the Dallas Road Roundabout project. Eastbound and Westbound traffic along Trowbridge Blvd. will be detoured via Gateway Ave. There will also be a lane shift in place at the intersection of Ava Way. Please drive with caution and expect delays.
Beginning on Friday, September 19th, Dallas Rd will be closed between Trowbridge Blvd and Ava Way. During that time, traffic will be detoured onto Gateway Ave from the newly paved sections of Trowbridge Blvd and Ava Way. Drive with caution and respect work zone speed limits during the next phase of construction.
The Parkway & Lee Blvd (between Jadwin Ave and George Washington Way) – The road will be closed to traffic from 6:30am–1:30pm each Friday through October for the Farmer’s Market. Businesses in the Parkway will remain open.
Ditch Restoration along Queensgate Dr. – City Crews will be performing maintenance activities for a section of ditch on the north side of Queensgate Dr. between Truman Ave. & Duportail St. Westbound traffic will be shifted over one lane and sections of sidewalk will be closed. Drive with caution and expect delays.
Thayer Drive Streetlight Replacement – the project includes the construction of 43 new streetlight poles, anchors, concrete foundations, junction boxes, wiring, streetlight conduits, asphalt patching, site restoration, removal of streetlight head attachments, removal and relocation of existing street signs between Richland High School and Sunset Street.
Jolianna Drive (at Paige St South of Medley Dr.) - street will be closed starting the week of September 1st. Detour will be in place.
South George Washington Way (between Comstock St. & Aaron Dr.) – There will be periodic lane closures starting the first week of September. Please drive with caution and expect delays.
Tapteal Dr (west of Center Parkway to Leslie Rd) –this section of road will be completely closed all week (Sept. 15th - 19th). Contractor will be placing sewer main, water main and streetlight. Use alternate route, detour signs will be in place.
2025 Christ the King Sausage Fest – From Friday September 19th through Saturday, September 20th, traffic will be shifted down to one lane along Stevens Dr. In addition, portions of Long Ave. will be closed from Stevens Dr. to Swift Blvd. Drive with caution and expect delays.

Geneva St (between Delaware Ave and Carolina Ave) – road will be closed Thursday, September 25th and Friday, September 26th. Detour will be in place.
