Lateral Firefighter/EMT/Paramedic
The Richland Fire & Emergency Services department will be seeking Lateral Firefighter applicants. If you are currently a professional full-time Firefighter with three years of consecutively paid experience with a comparable department and have successfully passed your probationary period with your current department, you may be considered as a Lateral Firefighter.
To be eligible to participate in the City of Richland's (City) application screening process, applicants must complete a Personal History Statement (PHS) to attach to their application. Applicants are encouraged to attach a current cover letter and resume to the City's application.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be currently employed as a fulltime, professional Firefighter with a minimum of three (3) consecutive years of paid service in that capacity
- Must have successfully completed the probationary period with their current employer
- Washington State or National Registry EMT
- IFSAC Firefighter I and II certificates
- IFSAC Hazardous Materials
- Awareness and Operations certification
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Paramedic
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science or Fire Administration
- Wildland Firefighter II certification
- Washington State EVIP certification
